When I was a kid I had big plans. In addition to growing up and getting the heck out of dodge, I also wanted to have some kind of cool career. Here were my choices....
1. A School Teacher
I loved some of the teachers I had as a child, plus school was always an escape from home so I enjoyed being there. I played school a ton.2. A Waitress
I bet you didn't know I had several restaurants in my bedroom when I was a kid. I had wonderful items on my menu and my prices couldn't be beat!3. A Stewardess
In addition to my restaurants, I also made many flights throughout the world. I was a very good stewardess and never had trouble with any of my passengers.
4. A Nurse
What little girls didn't want to be a nurse? I ALWAYS loved getting the little medical kits for Christmas or my birthday, especially if they had the cute little "pill" containers filled with candy sprinkles. And last but not least......
5. A Police Officer
This one I actually accomplished. I went to Yavapai College and majored in Administration of Justice. I also received my Arizona Peace Officer Certification and was hired by Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. So what happened? I will forever regret not having the discipline to keep my weight within guidelines. I left on my own. I gave up on myself. I walked away from a career that I loved. Stupid me!So now what do I want to do when I "grow up"? I really haven't figured it out yet. It's not too late yet. It's never too late to dream, right!?!

You didn't fail Brenda, you had two beautiful dreams that changed your life and goals. And you turned out to be quite a wonderful mom and person, despite all the nightmares. you are proof positive that we DO NOT have to be a victim of the horrid things that have happened to us, We can be raise above it all and soar with the best of them. You are an icon to your children and friends...but especially to your girls! Way to go! by the way, satan knows he will NEVER get some of us to turn to drugs, alcohol, etc to destroy us, so he tries to drowned us with self-defeating attitudes.
