And Emile Too

Emile created her own work of Halloween art this year too. She has helped many times with pumpkin carving but she did it without my assistance at all this year. She too was pleased with how her Jack-O-Lantern looked.

Handle With Care

Here is Brie's very first attempt at carving her own Jack-O-Lantern. She picked out the design by herself and with the exception of cutting the top and "gutting" the pumpkin at the very beginning, she did all the rest on her own. Ok, I did help just a tiny bit on the small detail stuff. She was so pleased with how it turned out, as was I. Great job Brie....

Scary Girls

Here are my two beautifully frightening girls. Aren't they lovely. Emile went "Goth" this year for Halloween, Brie was "Brie the teenage witch." I think they both looked just lovely... although I'm thrilled Emile doesn't want to look this way everyday. A little late on posting but I still thought it was worth it. BOO!

Autumn Leaves Are Falling

Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the vivid colors and the crisp cool air. The smell of fireplaces and apple cider is intoxicating. I'm also reminded of approaching holidays in which friends and family gather and new bonds are formed. What a treasured time to be alive.

Brie's 8th Birthday/Halloween Party.. 2 Years Late

Brie is my "low maintenance" child. She's always been very patient and understanding. I was going to give her a birthday party when she turned 8 to celebrate the year she would be baptized. As usual I didn't have the money so I kept promising to have a party another time (like a winter party, easter party, swimming party, etc... you get the point). Finally I did it. Brie invited several of her friends to come in costume. There were games, bobbing for apples, mummy making contest, food, and of course CAKE!! Everyone seemed to have a nice time and I was thrilled when the evening was over. Special thanks to Jinks, Cheri, Tara, and Emile for all their help in pulling it off. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIE. We'll do it again in a few years.

Fun In The Sun

So it's a like 10 million degrees and 120% humidity in mid August. The girls and I went to Lesa's house to swim. Before we know it the entire South-Central PA population shows up at the pool. Ok, not really; just friends and family. We all had a blast, cooled off, and had fun hanging out.
